Pastoral and extracurricular programme
Civic responsibility, culture, volunteering and care for the environment.
Pastoral education brings together shared activities, creativity and care for others. The lyceum presentation explores these areas through student initiatives, cultural events, volunteering and environmental projects.
Four areas of pastoral education
Civic and patriotic education
Student self-government, community participation, charity fairs and auctions. Shared activities give students experience of responsibility and mutual support.
Spiritual and moral education
Exploring Ukrainian traditions, literature and theatre. Family celebrations, creative meetings and performances bring children, parents and teachers together.
Military and patriotic education
Meetings with defenders, courage lessons, remembrance of those killed and support for Ukraine's Armed Forces. The presentation also shows local studies expeditions and team competitions.
Environmental education
Plant care, environmental cleanups, waterway cleaning and discussion of environmental issues. Caring for nature begins with action close to home.
Shared activities
Examples from the published presentation appear below. They describe the lyceum's experience in earlier years, rather than the current academic year's event calendar.
Help and volunteering
Charity fairs, auctions, volunteer cooperation and the Easter Treats campaign. Participants helped raise and deliver support to defenders.
Culture and creativity
Theatre productions, Ukrainian dance, literary meetings and family evening gatherings. Examples include the Tandem theatre group's performance at the Theatre Kaleidoscope 2023 festival.
Student initiative
Student parliament participation in campaigns, meetings and charitable events. Self-government lets students propose ideas and work on them together.
Caring for nature
The Environment Day cleanup, Clean Waterways event, caring for indoor plants and a student conference on environmental issues.
